ABOUT_US

Fundación Tónica is a non-profit association founded in Guadalajara, Jalisco in 2006 by Gilberto Cervantes and Sara Valenzuela, musicians and promoters who have worked in the consolidation of a comprehensive and multidisciplinary high impact cultural project based on training and diffusion of creative music.

Over seven years we have made alliance with 126 companies, educational institutions and government, as well as 101 people who have joined us by giving donations and support to benefit 4,481 music students and more than 225,000 people who have attended our scenic activities.

The most important project of the foundation is the International Jazz Festival in Jalisco, which is now internationally recognized and differs from other similar platforms for being an ambitious model with a formative, scenic and professionalization approach of the sector.

MISSION

Music education forms the basis of our organization whose overall purpose is human development.  Our objective is to provide distinctive opportunities to children and teenagers that enable them to realize their maximum potential and contribute to and lead a productive life.

VISION

We strive to enrich and spread human values through music.  From a first-rate concert to educational programs and activities with highly esteemed educators, in addition to the exchange of ideas and creation of artistic forums that channel and integrate other sectors of the community, we represent a new form of music education that is nonprofit and attracts worldwide attention.

VALUES

The values and attitudes that the organization promotes are essential to music education and performance.  Study, hard work, understanding, creativity, diversity, growth, self-evaluation, expression, imagination, discipline, group unity, as well as respect for ideas, each other’s culture, and the volunteers are and will be the fundamental pillars in our pursuit of excellence.
